also 1960 and 15 th but in the month of April,

One of my high school professors always called me on my birthday wishing me a lot of succes in the next year of my life. It gave me such a warm family feeling! He was relly very nice and kind.
At his burial they held the mess in georgian as he was a teacher of old languages.... Often I think of him....

Even if we maybe do not want to admit it, our birthday is a special day for us and if our friends remeber it, they make us very happy.

The man who views the world at 50 the same as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.

              Muhammad Ali

I recently watched on ESPN a duo of specials re:ALI, one was ALI RAPS,, it was magnificent,, full of all this grand footage,, him ripping off the profound poetry/prose, fight predictions, Howard Cosell,, it was great!! The second was his 12 favorite rounds in all his bouts, also quite stunning. As a child,,my Dad was into "Friday Night at the Fights" boxing thing, thank you Gillette and White Owl Cigars, I was fascinated,, big strong men,, muscles rippling,,,, oop s I digress.. He Hee

When I was a kid I was lucky to be able to go to boxing matches for I had an Uncle that was a pro boxer in Southern Cal. When the hype about the Cassius Clay, Sonny Liston fight started there was such a buzz everyone wanted to see it, some wanted the Brawling Bully to stomp the Mouth and others wanted to see the Brute stopped by the Sweet Science you know float like a butterfly and sting like a bee...

I got tickets with my paper route money to take my step dad to the Pantages theater to watch pay per veiw of the fight, I was amazed of all the people there and the yelling and screaming. They introduced so many old time boxers like Primo Canero(sp?) and others it was a treat for so many of these guys had fought with my uncle.... When the fight started I thought I would see the greatest fight of all time but then all of a sudden there is Listen laying on the floor Clay standing over him and for a brief moment taunting him... never saw the punch till years later and even then I still don't know if I saw it... But Ali was the most by any measurement boxer, promoter and entertainer... No. 1 in my book...

I guess there is hope for later baby boomers.I was born into, like yourself-THE AGE OF AQUARIUS.They were beautiful times, finding todays youth in extreame rights or lefts.what ever happend to equality?I blew through my 20s looking at Canada everyday when you were litrally a lottery ball-Vietnam.Todays #s are, report to duty.Today drugs are still culture, peace movements replaced with Rainbow Gatherings and kids doing dope because they have rights, what about the world in which we share..I love the young, they are my teachers, they are our future.Im still for sex, drugs and rock-n-roll-but ask any ol timer and he'll say I rememberd when-peace brothers/sisters............Jerry
