Well...LOL!...NOW it's "I Heard It Through The Grapevine!"

Earlier today, someone gave me a cd at work to listen to. It was really dreadful but, on one of the cuts there was a vague attempt to have a Beach Boys type harmony. So, for part of the day, I had "In My Room" looping in my brain.

lately=Bad Moon Rising/ CCR has been on my mind..... and Janis and the Dead doing a kick ass version of Me and Bobby McGee.

OKay, I just joined this tribe and I have to let you all know that any of the songs you mentioned could have been candidates for the songs that come into my head, except maye the Tears for Fears post. Me and Bobby McGee be the Dead! Woo Hoo, now that brings back some memories.... or are those the flashbacks they always promised??

I was born in 1966. I just heard "Summer in the City" when I read this question. I often hear "Yellow Submarine". The Beattles are my favorite. I am sure their music was playing near me around the time of my birth. Lots of old Motown. I grew up there. I am sure there are plenty more. I remember seeing an album with a girl on the cover naked and handcuffed by police. I am not sure who the group was. It makes sense I have feminist and free thinking qualities.

hi guys, y-rnth here... gonna go with my home boy arlo's "alice's 'restaurant masacree". nope, i didnt know about the masacree part either, but just checked it out on wikipedia and there it was, its full, official name ....youuuuuuuu can get..anything you want. in alice's restaurant. sweet. but i really wanted to say hi and see if you all knew about pandora.com ??? its a site [free] where you can make up your own little radio stations. type in a singer or a song or a composer and theyll make you a whole mix of work by the person you request, and others like it. i dont know how long the mix is, but its long. as its playing, it shows the album cover, and you can hit thumbs up or down if you want a song trashed or more like it......you can program 100 different radio channels, and is SO easy, I can do it !!! a song comes in your head? instant grat, then you can sit back, tippy tappying with the tribe while purple haze is melting your earwax ...this 21st century has some cool shit, donnit?
