Every day...or a few times a day, I hear old songs in my head. Right now it's: I heard it through the grapevine!

What's yours?

Well...LOL!...NOW it's "I Heard It Through The Grapevine!"

Earlier today, someone gave me a cd at work to listen to. It was really dreadful but, on one of the cuts there was a vague attempt to have a Beach Boys type harmony. So, for part of the day, I had "In My Room" looping in my brain.

I love that song! I'm an ardent collector of music, and I have zillions of the old "AM Gold" hits that my parents' radio station played. For some reason, these are the songs that just get stuck in your head...remember:
3 Dog Night - Just an Old Fashioned Love Song
Bo Donaldson - Billy, Don't be a Hero
            Gary Wright - Dream Weaver
Nick Gilder (I think) - Hot Child in the City
Maria Muldaur - Midnight at the Oasis
            Phoebe Snow - Poetry Man
Hues Corp - Rock the Boat
Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun
Paper Lace - The Night Chicago Died
Everything by America (Tin Man is my fave)
Carly Simon - You're so Vain

Now tell me you don't have at least one of these going through your head right now!! :)

One of my school friends wrote Mickey at the time and he wrote back a postcard addressed: Hong Kong, China.

We were pissed off then, coz HK had been a British colony for years. So maybe it was a prophetic thing? Wonder where's he now?

Been doing good today with my eating. down one more lb. this week. The low carb is working for me but in a more modified way than I was eating. I now eat some fresh fruit and whole wheat and bran and brown rice. I am feeling better to eating like this and watching my portion sizes and cutting my calories to 1200 a day.
Hope I can get the rest of this weight off this year. My FIT FOR LIFE group I belong to has helped me so much to see what I was doing wrong with the low carb.
I know I can keep this up now.
