Just saw the DVD S.F. Sorrow by Pretty Things, a group I had never heard of, from England, who ded the first rock opera story about a year before Tommy. It was good and the interview with the band members is worth a watch too. They got together again after over 30 years to perform the work and they were still good musicans.

I've caught some Pretty Things videos on Youtube, very cool.
They were ahead of their time.
